Digital time recording
Effective as of August 2019 within the University of Amsterdam all faculties will be using a digital project time recording method when required by the grant provider. The UvA uses the Time recording module (Tijdschrijfmodule (TSM). The starting point is that hours are written passively via SAPHR, and that active hours written on projects are recorded via TSM. By providing time sheets via the web the UvA hopes to simplify time recording and improve the time recording process. Project employees can log on to a special website (all users receive an e-mail with the link to the website), where time sheets will be displayed in which the project numbers (WBS elements) and hour categories (research, management, teaching, etc.) if applicable are already presented. So as of August 2019 the Time recording at the UvA is fully digital. The form must be filled in at the end of every month, if necessary prematurely (e.g. termination of employment), so that the timesheet is available on time for project accounting purposes and for carrying out audits.
